UMP Collaborates with New York Public Library

UMP’s Rebecca Krucoff has been working with the Department of Teaching & Learning of the New York Public Library on a series of neighborhood history guides for teachers.  Each guide contains selections of primary sources from the magnificent archives of the New York Public Library, along with historical context and strategies for engaging in primary source research.  The first guide, New York Neighborhoods: The Lower East Side, has just come to print, with an East Harlem guide soon to follow and a St. George, Staten Island guide finishing the trio.  For more information on these and other NYPL guides click on www.teachandlearn.nypl.org
